As this is for my son`s bed, I`m not sure how comfy etc.it is. The mattress seems to give a lot when you sit on the edge.

Excellent quality mattress, but a bit firmer than I realized. I like a firm mattress, but I have since purchased a memory-foam mattress-topper to provide an extra layer of softness on top of the firm mattress.
